SPECIAL PAGE FOR VIETNAM VILLAGE IN LONDON
THE VOW
 National Ancestor Alter in Melbourn
We stand here to pay respect to our Ancestors and Heroes. As descendants of the Viet race, we are gathered here in front of the Altar of our National Ancestors.
We are here first of all to honour our heroic ancestors and to pledge our sincere and special gratitude to them.
Secondly, we are here to confirm our deep love as blood brothers. Together we will practise all of the virtues that have been passed down to us by our forbears, so that each of us can become a complete and true Vietnamese. We will be compassionate, dutiful and devoted, respectful and polite, thoughtful and loyal, so that we can live full and complete lives for the benefit of our own-selves, for our families, for our country and for all mankind. Together we swear: as long as there is still a breath of life in our bodies, we will never allow our spirit to fade away.
Please witness and accept our most sincere respect.
